Introducing Slope — the execution layer for SEO
Most SEO tools tell you what's wrong. Slope writes the GitHub issue. Why we built it, what the loop is, and what's shipping in v1.
SEO software is a $5B+ industry. It ships tens of thousands of dashboards, audits, and recommendation reports every month. And yet most of what those tools produce never gets shipped — because turning a recommendation into an actual code change requires a human chain (analyst → editor → developer) that almost no team has properly set up.
That chain is the bottleneck. Not the analysis. Not the data. The chain.
What Slope is
Slope is an autonomous growth-operations platform. The loop is short:
- Connect. Your domain, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, GitHub.
- Detect. Slope's seven opportunity rule families read your real data and surface the highest-leverage fixes.
- Execute. Approve an opportunity → one click pushes it as a GitHub issue with evidence and recommended actions.
- Measure. When the issue closes, Slope checks GSC 14 days later and writes the actual impact (clicks delta, position change) to the task.
The output isn't a PDF. It's a merged PR.
What's in v1
Phase 1 — Autonomous SEO Operations — shipped. That's:
- Seven opportunity rule families: low CTR, content decay, internal linking, thin cluster, cannibalization, missing schema, AI Visibility gaps.
- One-click Google OAuth that grants both GSC and GA4 in a single grant + auto-matches the right property to your domain.
- GitHub App for installation-token-based issue creation (no PATs ever).
- Stripe billing with Free / Starter / Growth / Agency tiers.
- Members + invitations + role-based access + audit log (Agency tier).
- Per-org weekly digest emails of the top 5 new opportunities.
- Impact measurement on every shipped task using 14-day GSC delta.
And Phase 2 sprint 1 — AI Visibility Tracking — is live too. Slope probes your prompts through Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude (ChatGPT, Bing, Google AI Overviews coming soon via SerpAPI), then tells you when your brand is missing and competitors are getting cited instead.
Who it's for
Three personas right now:
- SaaS founders. Solo or small founding team. Knows SEO compounds. Can't afford a $5K agency yet. Wants the loop to run while they ship product.
- SEO agencies. 10-100 client domains. Need per-client throughput, role-based access, and shippable output — not just reports.
- Content teams. 200+ pages in a portfolio. Manual review stopped scaling. Needs decay detection, cluster gaps, cannibalization spotting — automatically.
What we don't do
Slope isn't Ahrefs (no backlink index). It isn't Semrush (no PPC, no social, no all-in-one marketing suite). It isn't Surfer (no per-article NLP editor). We do the execution layer better than any of them, and we admit on every comparison page exactly what each competitor does better than us.
